We are unashamedly pro-family, pro-life, and pro-Jesus.As the Digital Animation Intern for the Hispanic team, you will utilize your motion graphics skills to help animate and bring to life values-based stories for kids. The position will work closely with the Hispanic team (in the U.S. and abroad) to contribute to a collection of stories that parents can use to teach their children Biblical values. Applicants should possess excellent artistic skills, a strong work ethic, the desire to make an impact in kids’ lives and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team setting.Responsibilities – What does a day in the life look like?Work with the art team to create notable, innovative, and outstanding 2D motion graphicsCreate quality animation using digital tools for values-based kids’ storiesAdd music and voice over recordings to video storiesParticipate and contribute to art meetings to shape and develop digital content projectsPublish finished digital content in Enfoque a la Familia’s (Focus on the Family’s Hispanic ministry) social media and mobile appGoals – What do we want you to learn and grow in?Develop a portfolio of digital content showcasing ministry impact through the video animated storiesGain experience with storytelling and motion graphicsLearn teamwork in a business environmentExperience – What are we looking for in a candidate?Understanding of the principles of 2D animation / motion graphicsFamiliarity with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe IllustratorSelf-starter and willing to take initiativeWilling to take instructions and to receive constructive comments aimed at pushing and improving the final workSkilled at working with deadlinesExperience with software like Blender or Maya preferredWeb experience with WordPress preferredA digital media portfolio may be requested during interview processAs a non-profit ministry, Focus on the Family is committed to hiring staff who are dedicated to sharing the gospel and live by biblical truths.
