Yorktown Systems Group, Inc., and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, are a committed team of dedicated former military and civilian professionals who believe in providing ethical and quality services to Government customers.Job Description:Summary:The Unconventional (TU) is seeking a qualified Telugu Reviewer/Editor/Certifier to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) with Translation, Interpretation, Transcription, and other Linguistic Support Services (LSS). Responsibilities include the translation of documents and media content, as well as ancillary services like court interpretation. The source material will contain various terminologies including legal, business, medical, and military concepts.The material to be translated or interpreted is legal in nature and may be provided in various formats. All materials will be considered sensitive, requiring strict controls and confidentiality measures.Job Requirements:Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the required language with superior skills in English and editing.Qualifying scores ILR 4 minimum or equivalent on language/translation tests.Must have lived 3 of the last 5 years in the U.S. (does not have to be consecutive).At least 1 year of experience working with a law enforcement and/or legal department.Must be a U.S. citizen; Naturalized citizen; or Green Card holder with a Social Security Number.Knowledge of both English and foreign language vocabularies in various contexts.Knowledge of specialized vocabulary related to the Government’s varied roles and missions.Fluent writing in their native language with professional command of the non-native language.Ability to translate accurately without changes, omissions, or additions.Preserve the tone and register of source language materials.Abide by relevant code of linguist ethics.Clearance:
