Who We're Looking For (Position Overview):
Spry is looking for a new team member to help support HQMC Deputy Commandant for Information.
In this role we're looking for you to serve as a Project Officer to help develop, mature, and guide improvements in information and knowledge sharing across the enterprise. You will have the opportunity to advise the Deputy Commandant for Information, Director IC4, Division Directors, and subordinate
units of strategy and operations associated with networks, cybersecurity, and information technology. This position works closely and collaboratively with the Director, C4/CIO (a two star billet) of the Marine Corps (Director, C4/CIO) and Deputy Department of Navy (DON) Chief Information Officer (Marine Corps) (DDCIO) (MC). The position provides technical and managerial leadership support for communications and network
resource planning within the Division.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):Prepares Director C4 and other senior leaders, for meetings and senior leader engagements associated with the job assignment.Represents IC4 and the Marine Corps at AO level working groups, planning teams, advisory groups/board, war games, etc. Leads same events when required.Participates in the coordination of capabilities development, system development, fielding, sustainment and Fleet Marine Force advocacy for all expeditionary command, control, communications and computers issues.Develops policies, guidelines, and standards for the planning, development, integration, implementation, and evaluation of information technology (IT) systems and subsystems that meet overall information needs of multiple major organizational units.Coordinates with counterparts across the HQMC Staff, other Deputy Commandant staffs and other key commands including Training and Education Command (TECOM), Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM).Analyzes statutory requirements against existing directives to assess the degree of policy changes necessary to comply with new IT project or program requirements.Coordinates comments on revised directives as part of the review process and incorporates comments or resolves issues into a final directive.Analyzes feasibility studies, proposals, and in-depth analyses of current requirements and forecasts trends for future needs. Keeps abreast of changing and emerging technologies.What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
Secret clearanceBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 20 years of demonstrated experience.History of supporting Marine Corps organizations in Information Technology or Information ManagementAbility to work projects from outset to briefing and presentation at the Senior Leader (3-Star) levelAbility to turnaround compliant documents in a timely fashion and manage multiple deliverables each week.Strong written and verbal communications skillsIdeally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
Prior Marine Corps experienceExpert knowledge of current and planned enterprise collaboration tools (SharePoint, MS Teams)Working knowledge of Deputy Commandant, Information force structure
