Logistics Expeditor

to join our Boulder Factory Team at Vaisala Louisville, Colorado. This is a very exciting job opening for anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge in a Receiving and logistics environment that has so much to offer.This role will perform all duties to ensure the timely and accurate receipt and shipment of materials, products, and systems. What's your role?

You will be part of our Boulder Factory team of 15 professionals. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to work with a wide variety of products. In this role you will be working in close co-operation with Shannel Reckseen. You will report to Bruce Borchardt.

Receive materials in daily shipments from various carriers.

Inspect receipts for damage and accuracy of paperwork.

Receive materials into MRP system.

Distribute materials to appropriate inventory locations.

Ensure that all shipping/receiving equipment is properly maintained.

Deliver and/or support appropriate safety training for all logistics personnel.

Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering and distributing packages and letters within the company.

Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.

Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.

Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.

Maintains internal record-keeping systems.

Contacts resource people for various information. Contacts transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.

Assembles containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped, and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions.

Takes inventory, perform cycle counts,maintains storage area, organizes, and places stock on shelves.

Proactively recommend and implement process improvements in the logistics area.

What will you bring?

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in domestic and international shipping. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with shipping/freight carriers and their automated systems or web portals. Our logistics providers include UPS, DHL, Fed-Ex, and other freight forwarders.

International shipping experience.

Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Experience working in a customer facing role and providing excellent customer service.

Detail-oriented and willing to learn quickly.

Expertise with PC's and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience in MRP systems, (SAP preferred).

Certified forklift operator.

Knows safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials. As well as knows proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Excellent cooperation, networking, communication and influencing skills across the organization.

Strive for delivering results and keeping to schedules.

Applying your own expertise and sharing knowledge with others.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $28-$33 an hour. (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Additionally, we offer our employees a competitive benefits package which is outlined below.
