Duties

As a Writer Editor, you will perform the following duties:

Monitor technical writing or editing work performed by others, including off site or by contractors, to ensure timelines, consistency, and accuracy;Review documents for logical development, presentation, style, grammar, conformance with ICE policy, consistency, clarity, accuracy, and exactness of expression;Develop written products that articulate, interpret, and explain highly complex, potentially controversial, and important programs, project plans, guidelines, regulations, laws, handbooks, manuals, standards, and research findings.Develop finished products, index, and cross-reference documents such as project plans, highly complex reports, guidelines, regulations, laws, memoranda, presentations, handbooks, manuals, standards, and other publications; andPropose change in editorial and publishing policies and practices and serve as the resource on these policies and practices for all of an office.

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:

Analyzing, interpreting, and integrating information in a variety of formats, such as graphs and tables, databases, and spreadsheets;Demonstrating experience working independently or on a team to write, edit, and use research methodology to develop and prepare authoritative data and policies;Conducting special studies and carrying out assignments of the very highest priority;Communicating creatively in writing and designing innovative ways to reach audiences on matters that may be complex or controversialQualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
