In this fast-paced, detail-oriented role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing client relationships, shepherding creative from concept to completion and will serve as a senior account presence on both internal and client-facing teams. In addition to managing the overall client relationship, often in conjunction with the support of an AE or Account Manager, this person will also be the primary coordinator of all project management aspects such as schedules, process adherence and job costs. Candidates should come to History Factory with an exceptional working knowledge of various creative mediums - ranging from planning, video and website development to print production and experiential design. This is a hybrid role with some travel, with an expectation of in-person attendance of 20-25% in the Dupont Circle Area. This role is also remote eligible if you are outside of the DMV area.While a PMP certification is not required for this position, candidates should have strong background and experience as a project manager in a creative agency setting.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact and single source of information on complex, multi-workstream creative projects. Candidates should be knowledgeable of the ‘in the weeds’ details at any point, while still maintaining a big picture vision on the work and client relationship.Oversee assigned creative project teams, providing clear direction and ensuring all activities align with client expectations and deadlines.Maintain meticulous attention to detail and ensure all projects are completed to the highest quality and meet internal & client standards, on schedule and on budget.In conjunction with junior account team members (where appropriate), oversee all project schedules and team member hours allocation to ensure accuracy on a daily basis.Manage project budgets proactively, including cost tracking, reporting, revenue forecasting, and new project estimating.Shepherd work through History Factory’s internal creative process in accordance with established deadlines and schedules.Lead and participate in the creation of presentations, creative briefs, plan development, program reports, and status updates.Act as the voice of the client throughout the creative process.Facilitate effective communication internally and externally, organizing and leading recurring project meetings.Serve as the day-to-day point of contact and fostering trust and collaboration.Proactively identify and address client needs, offering creative solutions and exceeding expectations.Anticipate potential challenges and propose solutions to navigate both internal and external obstacles.Develop and cultivate personal connections with senior-level client contacts through work and social engagements.Mine and actively pursue account development opportunities with existing clients to grow and lengthen relationships.Develop and/or review costs estimates and statements of work for new opportunities with current clients.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.6+ years of experience in a marketing or communications agency setting.3-4+ years as a senior account service staff on creative work.A thorough knowledge of various creative disciplines including but not limited to: video production, web design, content creation, experiential marketing, exhibit production and print production.Intimate knowledge of project management and scheduling software.Experience managing direct reports in various account service roles (Account Coordinators, Executives, etc.).Proven track record of successfully executing complex marketing and communications programs and growing client relationships and business.Strong understanding of strategic planning, project management, and budget control.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a focus on building trust and respect.Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.Strong analytical skills and expertise in using MS Office Suite and Google Suite tools.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.PMP or related certification strongly encouraged.Experience working with Fortune 500 companies a plus.Up to 20% intermittent travel required.EEO and Accessibility StatementHistory Factory is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions based on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, age, family medical history or genetic information, disability, past or present military service, or any other characteristics protected under the laws applicable in the locations where History Factory operates.
