Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Your OpportunityAs an E-Content Specialist, your primary responsibility is to contribute to building and maintaining a comprehensive, high-quality Global Knowledge Base (GKB) focused on customer needs.
You will accomplish this by establishing quality data feeds with external data partners, analyzing and manipulating metadata for inclusion in the GKB, and ensuring all necessary collections are represented and maintained accurately.
You will also resolve internal & external reported issues promptly using research and critical thinking skills, while conducting root cause analysis to identify trends and take proactive action to minimize reoccurring issues.
This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories).
What You'll Do
Conduct regular maintenance and analysis of publisher-supplied metadata to ensure comprehensiveness, quality, and accuracy
Communicate with content providers to resolve internal and customer-reported data issues promptly and to obtain necessary metadata to maintain the Global Knowledge Base
Maintain associations with internal & external data sources for order processing services
Work effectively with team members and cross-functional teams to accomplish individual, team, and organizational goals
Prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and report on progress or concerns in daily team workload meetings.
Identifying and implementing workflow improvements

About You
2+ years of experience in related industries working with metadata
2+ years Microsoft Excel; familiar with data manipulation and analysis

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective verbal and written communication with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders
Knowledgeable of bibliographic metadata standards (e.g. MARC, KBART, OAI)
Experience and/or education in the library field
