LocalThe Opportunity:We are looking for a user-experience (UX) design specialist to support the modernization of existing legacy applications, implementing HTML tagging and cascading style sheets, ensuring consistency across multiple legacy applications. The UX designer will also be expected to help design the overall functionality of web applications and ensure a great user experience, iterating upon it in accordance with user testing.Responsibilities:Apply standardized global CSS and HTML tagging to application user interfacesUpdate global CSS based on feedback, agency standards, and other requirementsGather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and software developersIllustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemapsDesign graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgetsBuild page navigation buttons and search fieldsDevelop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and lookCreate original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedbackFacilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital productsDesign and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfacesIdentify design problems and devise elegant solutionsMake strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and featuresCollaborate with other team members and stakeholdersBuild strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program ownersDocument progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholdersProvide recurring or ad hoc project status reportsCoordinate meeting invites, develop meeting agendas, facilitate meetings, develop meeting minutesQualifications:Required:6+ years of UX design experienceActive TS/SCI w/ PolygraphAbility to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and visionExtensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutionsA solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testingMust be well versed in Human Centered Design, strategic information planning, and knowledge management practicesExperience working with and managing expectations of multiple Product OwnersMust be able to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic formsMust possess excellent communication skills and be able to facilitate and document meetings effectivelyShould be able to effectively communicate development progress using various Agile metrics, such as burn down, cumulative flow diagrams, and cycle timeShould be able to identify symptoms for process improvementAbility to work independently with minimal guidance and supervisionFamiliar with leveraging and administering Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, as well as version control tools such as GitHubDesired:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field of studyExperience with Scaled Agile Framework 5.1 / DEVOPSExperience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Angular Materials, Bootstrap would be a plusWhat You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
