Marketing Specialist Intern - Summer 2025

POSITION SUMMARY:
This internship will be part of Distribution Marketing and include exposure to Content, Analytics, and Strategy. The intern will be introduced to the various aspects within Marketing to help set the stage for a broad understanding of the various functions within a Marketing Department. This role will learn about our content strategy and help execute it across platforms, such as the public website, social, and the blogs. Along with content, you will become familiar with how companies use analytic tools to help drive decisions on how to improve the digital experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will work closely with Distribution Marketing Managers to assist in developing and maintaining collateral along with helping to drive awareness and understanding of National Life Group and the products offered. This internship will focus on:Support marketing campaign planning and execution.Write copy for posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral.Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.Take part in formal and informal training opportunities.Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.Assisting with daily administrative duties.QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior Marketing experience or working towards a Marketing degree.Familiarity with marketing software and systems.Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have a passion for marketing.Outstanding multitasking abilities.HOW YOU SHOW UP :

10-week paid internship (June 3-Aug 8) with formal orientation and onboardingNetworking opportunities with peers and leaders throughout the summerCross-Departmental group project focused on an enterprise-wide solution presented at company-wide eventPresentation skills coaching sessionsLearning opportunities throughout programAccess to mentors (former program participants)The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
