Position Summary: Incumbent oversees the operation of the campus and/or medical center communications and data networks including telecommunications. Plans, designs, develops, installs and maintains communications and data network systems for the campus, medical center or a unit. What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed Minimum 5 years' experience working in progressively more complex analytical/support roles within a healthcare unit Knowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer system Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated skill to work independently and to prioritize and manage a relative number of simultaneous requests and to work on tasks which may not be clearly defined Demonstrated experience working as a project manager / lead Demonstrated experience in healthcare IT, preferably in an academic hospital setting Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience Ability to manage multiple medium to large scale projects with multiple stakeholders in a cross matrix environment Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications: Prior lead or supervisory experience Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Conditions of Employment: Background Check and Live Scan Legal Right to Work in the United States Vaccination Policies Smoking and Tobacco Policy Drug Free Environment The following additional conditions may apply, some of which are dependent upon business unit or job specific requirements.
