DIGITAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
Full-time, onsite in Irondale, AL.
Not remote-eligible.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Digital Media Specialist ,
under the guidance of the Vice President, you will coordinate with Production, Online Services, Creative Services, and Communications to manage the digital media needs for live streamed events, shows or segments that require a presence on OnDemand, YouTube, FaceBook, Roku and other content distributors. You will organize, update and maintain EWTN's on-line media content on all platforms.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:Request OnDemand assets for specific shows, series, and events.Ensure media assets (OnDemand, Live streaming events) are active online and removed as rights expire.Organize media content, ensure description, tags, titles, etc. are correct and up to date.Communicate with departments involved with online digital distribution of media including Production, Online Services, Communications, and Creative Services.Assist with the creation of short-form content, for social media and our various digital platforms.Assist with the creation and coordination of thumbnails for YouTube and On Demand.Ensure web pages for series are requested and updated.ABOUT YOU:
You hold a minimum of 2 years' experience in broadcast or social media.You have a proven understanding of video formats, codecs, and encoding protocols; current broadcast standards and technology.You have working knowledge of various social media and on-line platforms.You demonstrate solid video editing and thumbnail creation skills, preferably with but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud.You possess strong knowledge of EWTN programming.Some of your dominant soft skills include: excellent organizational and communication skills, detail oriented, ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team to deliver results.You demonstrate a clear understanding of the Catholic Faith, EWTN's mission, and how it aligns with the Network's programming objectives.You hold an Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, digital media or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE:
