Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive corporate communication strategy that amplifies brand presence and effectively highlights our commitment to safety, community engagement, and sustainability.Ensure cohesive internal and external messaging that consistently reflects the organization’s values and mission.Spearhead public relations endeavors, establishing and nurturing relationships with key media personnel and industry influencers.Craft and disseminate press materials while serving as the official spokesperson for the organization.Provide media training to customer-facing staff to ensure clarity and consistency in communication.Foster connections with media outlets in the New Orleans and Louisiana areas to advance corporate objectives.Lead crisis communication efforts in coordination with operational teams to safeguard the organization’s reputation.Cultivate robust relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and media representatives.Direct the organization’s digital media strategies, aligning content with business goals while analyzing engagement metrics for effectiveness.Design and implement an internal communications framework to promote transparency and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.Oversee customer communication strategies to enhance satisfaction and align with operational objectives.Manage the communication department’s operations, including budget oversight and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.Lead and mentor a dynamic communications team, while liaising with external agencies and vendors.Promote community engagement initiatives and strategic partnerships crucial to the company’s operational footprint.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.Minimum of 10 years of experience in high-level communications roles, preferably within the utilities, oil and gas, or energy industries.Demonstrated expertise in crisis communication and public relations management.Experience in navigating communications within regulated environments or high-stakes contexts.Established relationships within the New Orleans media landscape, with a proven track record in media engagement.Skilled in leading multifaceted communication teams and managing external contractors.Strong financial management capabilities, with experience overseeing departmental budgets.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal effectiveness.Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape pertinent to the utilities or energy sectors.Proficiency in digital communication strategies and social media engagement.Strong commitment to community relations and sustainability initiatives.Employment Type:
