Job Goal(s):

The Marketing Coordinator's primary role is to develop, execute, and monitor comprehensive communication and marketing that best reaches both the Van Buren Intermediate School District as well as external target audience and stakeholders. The communication and marketing should not only be structured to help market and recruit new hires to the District, but to also effectively communicate key information happening at the VBISD internally and externally. Additionally, this position will be responsible for coordinating a unified, strategic social media and website presence for the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required unless the candidate can demonstrate extensive experience in a similar position.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of successful work history in a related marketing position; educational communication and/or marketing experience preferred but not required.

Skills:Thorough understanding of marketing elements, market research methods, and marketing & analytics tools.Ability to develop and implement comprehensive communication & marketing plans.Possess excellent communication and project management skills.Well-organized and detail oriented.Excellent analytical skills & an ability to analyze data and identify trends.Strong written & verbal communication skills.Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office, marketing software (Adobe Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.).Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools desired.Skilled in writing & editing content with attention to detail.Ability and desire to work successfully in collaborating with others.Growth mindset.Essential Job Functions:

Plan and execute communication and marketing initiatives that reach target audiences through appropriate channels (e.g., social media & digital campaigns, print media, broadcast media, videos, and events). Well monitored and streamlined use of social media.Ongoing revisions and updates to the VBISD website.Collaborate with VBISD administration & staff to develop & implement strategic communication and marketing initiatives.Coordinate calendars and events to ensure attendance and communications.Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns.Make recommendations for future communication and marketing strategies based on data.Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.Brainstorm, develop and create marketing materials and ensure brand guidelines are met.Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums.

Terms of Employment: As per master agreement and provisions established by the Van Buren Board of Education.
