Job Description

Internship Overview

This position will be working in the Athlete Marketing division of the Athlete Management department at Wasserman. This group actively prospects paid opportunities/ partnerships for athletes that Wasserman represents. This intern will help create target lists, research specific markets and/or brands, assist in setting up meetings/calls with decision makers by making cold calls and other tasks pertaining to the Athlete Marketing process.

Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.

Day-to-day Duties Include:Support the Vice President of Talent Marketing Operations with various tasksConduct cold calls and marketing outreach as directedCreate excel spreadsheets and powerpoint pitch decks to organize and conduct marketing outreachReview contracts and prepare summariesReview and code invoices for paymentConduct research on prospective clientsVarious administration duties as assignedApplicants must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.Applicants should have an interest in sports business and sales/marketing as well asbe eager to learn about and contribute to the marketing and endorsement efforts ofprofessional athletes by cold calling and other communication skills.Applicants with sales, marketing, business development and cold calls experience are strongly preferred.Requirements

Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in a sports-related fieldApplicants must be organized, self-motivated, passionate and enthusiastic.Applicants must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.Applicants should have an interest in sports business and sales/marketing as well asbe eager to learn about and contribute to the marketing and endorsement efforts ofprofessional athletes by cold calling and other communication skills.Applicants with sales, marketing, business development and cold calls experience are stronglypreferred.Well-developed communication, organizational and time management skills, as well as basic administrative skillsAbility to work independently in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlinesStrong attention to detail and highly organizedDisplays indications of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clientsMust be able to receive college creditImportant Information

This internship is for college credit onlyThe spring internship program runs from January 28, 2025 - May 2, 2025
