ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Director of Instructional Design role requires strategic leadership, a strong understanding of diverse learning, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop learning solutions that align with organizational goals. Ensuring top outcomes for students and clients in communication, health, positive behavior, self-reliance, and education along with family, guardian, and external stakeholders' expectations. The individual in this position is responsible for maintaining genuine leadership across programs and services aligning with state regulations, law, accrediting bodies, and HH's mission and policies.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:On-site position, Monday-Friday, over 40 hours on occasion.On-call availability to the VP of Programs and as assigned; respond to emergency situations.Salary range $66,000-$75,000 per year (Exempt/Salary). Finance

Provide recommendations, implement an operating budget, monitor financial statements, and provide effective corrective action as required to reach financial goals in collaboration with the VP of Programs.Maximize utilization of new and current payment sources and billing including insurance, public aid, self-pay, one to one, contracts, and waiver program billing; including on-going research to discover and implement new billing initatives.Oversee the use of data systems for accurate client documentation, communication, and billing.Oversee the selection, acquisition, and/or implementation of instructional materials and allocate resources effectively to support education within programs.Communication

Provide the VP of Programs with direct communication on any issues that impact programs/services, clients/students, families, and team member satisfaction and/or safety.Implement and teach the line of communication for appropriate programs/services.Partner with subject matter experts to gather input and ensure instructional content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.Work closely with teams to ensure smooth execution, communication of project status, and timely delivery of learning solutions.Maintain positive and professional external relations.Implement strategies and participate in community events to provide genuine education about disabilities, the mission of HH, and to promote awareness of HH's programs throughout the community.Regulations

Complete accurately and submit timely all necessary reports, forms, and documentation as needed.Monitor current practices, feedback, emerging technologies, updated trends/research, regulations, policies, and professional standards.Make recommendations to the VP of Programs and implement necessary changes to optimize quality and reduce deficits.Establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.Maintain confidentiality of client/student records and information regarding clients, students, families, and team members.Create, oversee, and review engaging, high-quality learning programs; ensure instructional materials, assessments, and activities support learning objectives and improve learner engagement and performance, bridging the gap of school learning into adulthood.Consistently evaluate, explore, and implement the use of technology and integrate within service areas.Develop and implement learner assessments and feedback mechanisms to measure effectiveness of instructional materials.Leadership

Promote a positive, professional atmosphere and build a productive environment for team members (Best Place to Work).Oversee management culture and commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment.Initiate and supervise the development of new or innovative programs.Conduct meetings with programs and teams regularly.Fundraising

In collaboration with the Advancement team, create and promote HH events and branded collateral, assist with writing, implementing, and securing data for funding proposals and/or awards as needed.Actively identify and host volunteer opportunities.Actively participate in fundraising activities.Special Projects

Actively engage and serve as the liaison between HH and external entitites to promote partnerships.Conduct and oversee the full-cycle of special projects assigned by the VP of Programs to achieve best outcomes such as software enhancements, assistive technology, etc.Performs other duties as directed by the VP of ProgramsMust attend all agency/team meetings and trainings as scheduled.Qualifications

LAND THIS OPPORTUNITY BY HAVING:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field required.Masters degree preferred.Experience:

Five (5) years of experience working with children or adults with Autism or other intellectual/developmental disabilities.Three (3) years of management, supervisory, and leadership of diverse teams experience.Program/Service/Classroom development and scalablity experience.Skill Sets:

Strong program development and project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initatives simultaneously.Knowledge of regulations, laws, billing, and accreditations.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Proficient with technology such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, etc.Ability to promote and adhere to company values.A commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment.WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to assist clients/students, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).Consistently position self to maintain files in cabinets or assist clients/students.The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.Must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
