10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Amazon’s Cross Channel and Category Marketing Team (XCM) is seeking an experienced strategic Senior Social Marketing lead across Amazon and Prime Brand cross-channel marketing. This leader will set the strategy for how Amazon leverages social channels to deepen brand affinity and purchase intent across Amazon and Prime businesses. This includes establishing the vision and plan for how we adapt our processes to leverage AI and next gen production models to best align with customer behavior and platform algorithms. In this role, they will be responsible for planning, developing, executing and optimizing compelling social media campaigns, including critical retail events like Prime Day and Holiday. They will work across various social media platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat to ensure we continuously optimize our go-to-market approach aligned to customer behavior to position our work as culturally and contextually aware, creatively breakthrough, and measurably effective in driving short- and long-term brand and business results. To accomplish this, they will bring strong cross-functional strategic influence to the role to help roadmap and identify future opportunities for growth. Collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and creative partners will be crucial to driving innovative and impactful campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in marketing, with demonstrated results setting holistic social media strategies for Fortune 500 brands. This individual will have deep industry knowledge and the analytical expertise to plan for and measure success on all social campaigns. They will work autonomously, make smart decisions and be seen as an expert in their field. They will demonstrate experience in managing complex cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders, and juggling multiple competing priorities. They will be comfortable picking up new technologies and sharing their knowledge and learning with team members. They will constantly strive to create innovative, bar-raising content, inclusive campaign work, social-first organic, engagement & UGC content, influencer programs and multicultural initiatives. They will be comfortable experimenting and owning a roadmap that is flexible, adapting to meet the needs of our customers, businesses, stakeholders and partner teams. They will operate in a role of considerable scope and complexity and will have significant impact on our customer experience as well as Amazon’s brand and retail goals.

A day in the lifeThis role works closely with teams across the XCM organization to lead social strategy for our Amazon & Prime brand campaigns and partnerships. On any given day, this individual is crafting executive strategies, inputting into campaign briefs, leading social-first strategy sessions with social media partners, engaging Creatives, and working cross-functionally with key stakeholders. This role blends strategy and creative execution to deepen the emotional connection customers have with the Amazon brand and to make Amazon their go-to shopping destination.

Key job responsibilities1. Set vision and annual social media strategies across Amazon and Prime brands, including campaign level social briefs through to execution oversight, including our paid social media efforts across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and other channels.2. Serve as subject matter expert on social media best practices and emerging trends to ensure XCM remains best in class in social strategy and execution, including agile production capabilities.3. Establish short- and long-term learning agendas and oversee social measurement capabilities, analysis and executive reporting of campaigns. Analyze social media metrics to evaluate campaign performance, optimize strategies, and maximize audience engagement.4. Manage social agencies (including in-house Creative team) and partners to deliver the best-in-class campaigns and content to our customers.5. May lead small team of direct and dotted line reports, fostering culture of collaboration and bar-raising performance.6. Manage social production budgets to ensure we invest efficiently while maintaining a high creative bar and optimize for continuous performance improvement.7. Identify new opportunities to drive commerce and brand engagement, based on evolving customer and cultural trends, including a focus on reaching younger and diverse audiences.8. Partner across functional teams (including Media, Insights, Creative, Operations, Finance) to drive process improvement and efficiency.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
