Job Description
POSITION: Audience Services Representative
LOCATION: San Francisco, CA
HOURS: Full-time, some evenings, weekends, and holidays required
COMPENSATION: $22.00/hour
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Reports to Director of Audience Services
- Handles large volume of in-bound sales calls.
- Maintains composure and fairness while handling complaints, ticketing problems, and customer service issues
- Handles any AV errors while booking/exchanging tickets in AV by letting a supervisor know, tracking the issue if it cannot immediately be solved, and following up with guest to complete sale.
- Assist theatre audiences with trip logistics (parking, dinning suggestions, etc.)
- Making outbound sales and marketing calls as needed.
- Handling fresh desk inquiries – responding to emails in a timely manner.
- Provides general office support: data entry, mail, filing, and various projects like shredding.
- Available to work flexible hours including some night/weekend shifts.
- Takes metered mail to post office.
- Takes will call to either theatre.
- Shared responsibilities assigned weekly unless noted otherwise in the kitchen / office:
- clean bathroom keys and office doorknobs,
- wash your own dishes or put them in the dishwasher – daily.
- empty dishwasher and put away dishes or start dishwasher.
- Wipe-down/disinfect kitchen counters and wash sink and empty drain catcher, clean microwave inside, rotation tray and outside.
- Refrigerator – clean out old food (6 months or older) and wipe down insides and shelves, make sure all food is labelled and with names and dates,

- Refill paper towels as needed.
- re-order kitchen supplies as needed

- Work will take place in the BroadwaySF Contact Center located in the Orpheum Theatre Building on Market Street, San Francisco
- BroadwaySF, part of the Ambassador Theatre Group, is the preeminent theatrical entertainment company in the Bay Area, bringing live entertainment experience to San Francisco’s premier venues
- High level of guest interaction requires a patient, kind, and emotionally mature candidate
- Intimate knowledge of AudienceView ticketing system and most Microsoft based software (training provided)
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Experience helping customers with diverse needs and personalities
- Ability to speak and understand English; second language greatly valued
- Previous box office and ticketing knowledge is considered a plus
- Ability to multitask (answer multiple phone lines, for example) while remaining calm and courteous
- Passion for and/or experience for the performing arts

- General understanding of theatre etiquette, ticketing, seating
