Job Description

About AirGarage 🏙

AirGarage is repurposing the 30% of real estate in the average American city currently dedicated to parking.

We are building a future where real estate is digitized and can be transitioned from one use to another seamlessly on-demand, moving every piece of urban real estate toward its highest and best use.

We are starting with the $131 billion US parking real estate market because it is one of the most offline and mismanaged commercial real estate asset types.

As a full-stack parking operator, we automate the operation of parking lots and parking garages. We handle everything from advertising to collecting payments from drivers and enforcing against illegal parking. We already operate 250+ parking lots and parking garages across 35 US states and we are growing quickly.

We are backed by top tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Floodgate, Founders Fund, and angel investors who have founded or worked at companies like Uber, Opendoor, Flexport, and more.

THE ROLE 👩🏾️‍💻

We are seeking an excellent writer and researcher to join AirGarage as a Content Marketer. As the first marketing hire at AirGarage, you’ll have an opportunity to lay the foundations for our marketing efforts as we scale and grow our reputation as an industry leader.

You’ll own our content strategy and execution, with a focus on writing clear and compelling medium-to-long form content that resonates with real estate owners. You’ll research topics in the real estate industry, learn from our customers and team members, and craft your findings into case studies, blog posts, social media updates, landing pages, email sequences, sales collateral, and newsletters.

This is a tactical, generalist role where you will manage the entire content lifecycle from ideation to publication with a focus on engaging with our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 👷️‍♀️

— Content Writing: Craft engaging, well-researched content across formats, from in-depth blog posts to concise social media updates.

— Research: Stay up to date on trends in the real estate and parking industries to inform our content strategy.

Content Strategy: Develop and deliver on a content calendar for blog posts, case studies, and social media while determining which channels are the most effective to reach our target audience of real estate owners.

— Talk to Customers: Conduct interviews with customers and team members to gather insights and produce compelling case studies that showcase our impact in the industry.

Newsletter: Launch, write, and grow a newsletter focused on real estate and parking, aimed at building a loyal audience and driving engagement with our content.

Content Repurposing: Transcribe podcasts and videos, transforming them into written content that can be leveraged across various channels.

— Guest Writing: Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate with real estate websites and other industry partners to expand our reach and visibility.

— Experiment: This is the first full-time marketing role at AirGarage, so you should be ready to be scrappy. You should be eager to quickly and thoroughly test content and channels to find opportunity. Your ultimate goals are driving leads to the sales team and positioning AirGarage as a leader in the real estate and parking industries and you'll have the power to determine how we achieve those goals.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 👩🏼️‍🎓

— Strong creative and technical writing skills: You should write in an engaging and clear style and have a knack for making complicated topics sound simple.

— Knowledge of the real estate industry: Familiarity with real estate terminology and concepts, or eagerness to learn quickly.

— Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Excel at absorbing information from our team members and customers and distill these conversations into the most important takeaways for sharing.

— Strong research skills: Ability to scour the internet for interesting stories.

— A growth mindset: You should be a lifelong learner who is hungry to challenge yourself and grow.

THE UPSIDE 📈

By joining as one of our early team members, there is enormous opportunity ahead for you to have an outsized impact and shape the future of AirGarage in this role.

You’ll set the foundations for our Marketing efforts at AirGarage and work closely with our founders and leadership team to drive strategy and execute key initiatives.

You’ll see your work manifest in the real world, and have the opportunity to change the way that the world thinks about real estate use in our cities.

You’ll work with a diverse team -- we are currently 35%+ female and 30%+ non-white and we hope to continue hiring thoughtfully to build a team that represents the fact that our customers come from all walks of life.
