Job Description

MBS is hiring a Mechanic Design Engineer for a GREAT customer of ours in Deerfield Township, OH. This company has lots of advancement opportunity. This is a contract opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize SolidWorks to create assemblies and subassemblies for machines, material handling, and conveyor systems.
Generate fabrication/assembly drawings to communicate design intent effectively.
Design components to meet cost requirements while ensuring functionality and efficiency.
Analyze data gathered from testing to optimize designs and troubleshoot issues.
Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and equipment lists for designed modules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure successful implementation of designs.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, but not required.
No more than 2 years of experience in mechanical design; Co-op experience is acceptable.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work.
