Associate Director, Epilepsy Patient / Caregiver (PTCG) Marketing

Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.As an Associate Director on the EMD marketing team, you will play an essential role in developing and executing strategies and tactics focused on the PTCG audience. You will lead several initiatives, including short term execution, as well as helping drive new capabilities that will set the brand up for success in the mid to long term. The ideal candidate possesses strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills, a track record of successful execution, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and a passion to serve patients while demonstrating the Jazz corporate values.Core Functions & Expectations:

Seeking a team-player who can flex both strategic and tactical expertise across non-personal and personal PTCG efforts to deliver on brand objectives. This person will report to the PTCG Marketing Director.Participate in and lead the development and execution of portions of the Integrated Strategic Brand Plan focusing on the consumer strategy and campaigns across appropriate channels, including brand positioning, concept design and messaging development.Lead all elements of the PTCG media strategy, including targeting, creative development and placement, setting KPIs and monitoring performance, budget management and media buy authorizations, and campaign optimizations.Collaborate with Advocacy to define the patient advocacy engagement strategy and partnerships with advocacy groups and other entities to include leading our presence at society and advocacy meetings, as well as family educational events.Lead epilepsy/Epidiolex ambassador programs to include ambassador relationships, management of speaking and public relations events, and the community outreach strategy and execution.Extensive experience in leading the successful development and creation of PTCG marketing content that simply and concisely communicates complex, scientifically nuanced and empathetic/sensitive concepts through the internal Medical/Legal/Regulatory review process.Manage multiple agencies including Creative AOR, Media, Digital Marketing, CRM Campaign Managed Services (CMS), and Peer to Peer to execute projects on time and on budget.Create and oversee segments of the annual PTCG Marketing budget and ensure individual programs and tactics are delivered on time and within forecasted budget.Partner with multiple internal functions such as Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Sales, IT, Marketing Ops, Market Access, Training, Omnichannel, etc. to execute projects.Lead the development and implementation of innovative patient program platforms and campaigns to include personal and non-personal / branded and unbranded to reach and engage target PTCGs.Work closely with our Patient Support Services Team and Market Access Marketing Team to develop and execute patient centered support and initiatives.Participate in and lead portions of the development of market research, including ambassador advisory boards, to uncover PTCG insights and market trends; propose insight-based strategies and tactics to address key unmet needs for the brand.Collaborate with sales training to develop content that ensures effective and influential execution of promotional resources.Represent the brand vision and marketing team objectives at all times while adhering to regulatory, medical and compliance marketing parameters.Qualifications:BS/BA degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years of strong marketing and/or sales experience in a pharmaceutical market ORMaster's or MBA degree and 10+ years of related experience, including 5+ years of strong marketing and/or sales experience in a pharmaceutical market.Experience managing outside agencies (creative & media), design firms, and internal teams to execute brand and strategic marketing direction.In-line brand marketing experience, including commercial launch; marketing acumen with demonstrable depth of knowledge rare disease, scientific leader engagement, marketing strategy, market research, segmentation, brand positioning, and tactical plan development.Proven record of effectively leading cross-functional teams; demonstrated ability to successfully influence multiple levels of an organization, both internally and externally.Excellent communication (written and verbal) with the ability to lead others and tailor communication style to cross-functional partners.Self-starter with excellent project management skills, the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential roadblocks, and the ability to deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously.Experience in collaboration across HCP and Patient marketing with a strong focus in cross-channel digital marketing.Demonstrated history of good judgement, problem solving, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.Demonstrated ability to shift focus between strategy, planning and execution with agility and strict attention to detail.Experience successfully managing budgets.Experience navigating legal/regulatory/medical processes.A strongly preferred candidate would have a pharmaceutical career progression demonstrating growth in responsibility and scope, particularly in commercial positions.The position will be primarily home based, with the expectation that the person is willing to travel to meetings as necessary.Description of Work Environment:Frequent computer laptop or tablet use, not usually at a workstation.Hybrid work environment includes the ability to work remotely as well as working in the Carlsbad office as needed. Travel expectations up to 40%.Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of “normal” work hours in order to meet business demands.Frequent public contact requiring appropriate business apparel.
