Founded 10 years ago in New York City, we have successfully expanded our work to San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. We are now in the midst of another period of rapid growth and expansion, as we work to replicate our model nationally and grow existing programs to serve larger numbers of entrepreneurs. We are also currently undergoing an exciting rebrand, with the goal of expanding our impact and increasing support for small businesses, amplifying the voices of the under-resourced, and celebrating what it means to be all for small.In order to connect under-resourced small business owners with the strongest pro bono legal, financial and marketing support to transform their growing businesses, build wealth for themselves and their families, and create jobs for others in their communities, Start Small Think Big has:Partnered with the majority of the top 100 U.S. law firms, including Simpson Thacher, Weil Gotshal, Cleary Gottlieb, Debevoise & Plimpton.Partnered with some of the biggest and most well-respected financial and marketing corporations, including American Express, Morgan Stanley, Google, Goldman Sachs, Group Nine MediaSecured significant support for our work from some of the largest and most forward-thinking foundations in the space, including Kauffman, JPMorgan Chase, Citi.ABOUT THE POSITION We are seeking a mission-focused, digitally-savvy, strategic Marketing & Sales Program Director to help evolve our programming to support small businesses in the digital age. This position offers a unique opportunity for a marketing expert to shape our programming and enable small businesses to grow their brands online. You will be a key member of the leadership team and responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of the Marketing ' Sales Program, ensuring that our clients receive high quality marketing support and that we deepen our corporate partnerships to activate programming and sales opportunities.This is a dynamic role — you might be designing a new programming slate one day, leading a marketing workshop or collaborating with a corporate partner the next. The ideal candidate is an experienced digital marketing or programming professional, and/or has experience as an entrepreneur or implementing marketing strategies at a startup company. Ideally, you also have experience teaching marketing to others, either in the workplace, accelerator programs, events, or through blogs/digital content. You are someone who balances strategy and execution, and brings a creative approach to the work — you have the confidence and clarity to set a vision and the operational know-how to bring that vision to life. Additionally, you are an organized self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to motivate those around you.You should be comfortable with change, adept at prioritizing for execution, and are an equal parts leader and team player, with a roll-up-their-sleeves attitude. Most importantly, you are passionate about supporting small businesses, social justice, and all things marketing.
