We are looking for a seasoned marketing professional with strong experience in agency management, including social media, to deliver integrated campaigns with excellence.
This Director will need to both think and plan strategically, activate and execute effectively, and have experience with cultural trends coupled with an elevated taste to identify the right opportunities for American Family Insurance.
Position Compensation Range:
$125,000.00 - $212,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
You will lead the Brand Advertising and Media teams, overseeing their performance and growth. Define team goals and best practices, manage workflows, and ensure resource planning. You will also mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Have experience leading top-tier creative and media agencies and managing brand activation programs with budgets exceeding $100M.
Serve as the primary contact for advertising and media teams and important partners on marketing and advertising programs and campaigns. Collaborate with partners to understand and align on project objectives, needs, and expectations, including field and product marketing, insights, and legal teams.
You will develop long-term relationships across marketing agency teams and partners. Provide strategic counsel to enhance a project's value and impact through creative strategy. Additionally, you will anticipate stakeholder needs, address potential issues proactively, and offer innovative solutions.
As the Director, you will lead the creative and media briefing process, as point person in building cohesive brand plans.
You will frequently collaborate with Integrated Agency Team leads in the development of creative strategies, guide project teams, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of all creative outputs.
You will also provide oversight regarding the quality and consistency of all creative deliverables. This includes providing strategic feedback to ensure excellence in all creative brand outputs.
As you ensure all creative outputs are on-brand, strategically aligned, and meet the highest quality standards you will also manage the advertising agency for creative idea development and production, ensuring the delivery of creative assets for broad-based video, social strategy, and content planning.
You will have the opportunity to assist in overseeing annual plans and budgets, foster a positive team culture, ensure cross-team collaboration, and guide the team's overall direction.
Lead the media agency to reach the right audience through a variety of digital and traditional media channels, employing advertising methods throughout the purchase journey.

Manage the media agency to produce meaningful post-campaign analysis and improve the value of our advertising through testing, targeting, and refining plans.
Review media agency performance and set indicators to ensure achievement and exceeding of targets while maintaining a positive return on investment.
You will brief the media agency, executing the creation of impactful marketing assets and innovative campaigns to achieve profitable growth, while managing cross-functional relationships internally and externally.

In this primarily office-based role, you will spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from our National Headquarters in Madison, WI 53783. This requirement will flex based on travel and commitments with our creative and media agencies based in various geographic locations.
