NPI Design Supervisor

NPI Design Supervisor - Plymouth, MN- Hybrid Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a NPI Design Supervisor who will supervise the product and design drafting staff to effectively produce models, drawings, and bills of materials needed by Manufacturing to build products. This includes newly designed equipment, special products, and the maintenance of existing products. Establishes policies and procedures within the department. Originates and develops ideas to design the form of manufactured products by performing the following duties. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN What you will do: Design and redesign safe and technically sound products that meet the design requirements Estimate resource requirements and coordinate with the Engineering Manager and Program Management to maintain compliance with planned headcount, budgets, and schedules Provide scope and work breakdown structure expertise, direction, and coordination with Engineering Manager and Program Management to maintain compliance with project scopes and schedules Provide Schematic Software/Configurator/PDM expertise, direction, and coordination with IT for system capabilities and hardware requirements in various documentation environments Issue accurate and complete engineering documentation for the generation of engineering and manufacturing databases and fabrication of parts in the factories Complete special assignments or projects on time giving consideration to quality manufacturability, functionality, serviceability, and cost Select, train, motivate, and evaluate a competent direct reporting staff assuring optimum use of individual and collective capabilities Manage CAD resource allocations and meet Project deliverables to fulfill Product Development objectives and schedules Ensure Drafting Group conformance with New Product Introduction, Value Analysis and Value Engineer, and ISO documentation Establish, monitor and implement consistent design documentation practices.
