Interested?Here's what you'd do:We are looking for a hands-on, experienced User Interface/eXperience (UI/UX) Developer/Programmer who can drive and advance our next-generation modern digital workplace technology initiatives.This person will be the lead resource for communicating and working with business & technology end users to create and support holistic solutions for some high-visibility ongoing projects.As a UI/UX Developer, you'll be responsible for creating ADA-compliant Mobile/Web experiences.The developer needs to have a keen understanding of ADA/Accessibility compliance standards and platforms(Eg SiteImprove) (ADA/WCAG, etc.) and mitigation best practices to meet application/code complaints on modern web technology stacks, especially front-end programming.Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX design standards.Act as designer-developer, switching hats between design and development, and as Subject Matter Expert (SME), assisting with decision-making for some high-visibility ongoing projects.Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance.Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects to achieve successful implementation and component requirements.Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research new tools and methods as needed.Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups.Design and develop UI and UX interfaces, assist with new user interface testing, and participate in usability reviews.Hands-on development on front-end user frameworks (Vue.JS, AngularJS, ReactJS, Jquery).Provide responsive website app development and support to the customer-facing design system, including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templatesAct as designer-developer, switching hats between design and development, and as Subject Matter Expert (SME), assisting with decision-making for some high-visibility ongoing projects.Develop reusable, responsive, interactive patterns and code libraries that meet the highest W3 HTML, Javascript, and CSS standards.Collaborate with business analysts, senior developers, and architects for successful implementation and component requirements in an SDLC process.Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion or integration of frontend designs into the JS/Java codebase.Participate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for the product UX.Develop well-structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry standards.Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data-driven approach.Design and develop UI and UX interfaces to meet standards and requirements.Remain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary.Here's what you'll get:Pay: $42.42/hr.Hours: 40 hours/week.Length: Temp (12 Months).Sounds like a good fit?APPLY TODAYAbout Acara SolutionsAcara is a premier recruiting and workforce solutions provider-we help companies compete for talent. Required Skills / Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.Minimum of 2 years experience in front-end web application development.Minimum of 2 years experience in ADA ComplianceMinimum of 2 years experience in Adobe AEMMinimum of 2 years experience as a UI Front End DeveloperMinimum of 2 years of hands-on programming experience with languages such as Java, Javascript, React, VUE, and Angular on LAMP/MEAN/MERN stack.Minimum of 2 years experience creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needs.Minimum of 2 years experience working with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.Minimum of 2 years experience communicating and working with business and technology users to create holistic solutions.Minimum of 2 years experience using end-to-end Human-centered design (HCD) techniques, including design, research, and usability.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training.Previous experience in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry.Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies.ESQL, SQL, and Java experience.Working with full-stack application development teams and Adobe DXP/AEM/Analytics stackUnderstanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.Knowledge and software development with Adobe Experience Manager, Sharepoint, and WordPress CMS.Exposure to front-end user frameworks (Vue.JS, AngularJS, ReactJS, Jquery).AJAX.Create rich web user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Rest API, PowerApps, Power BI, & Power Automate (formally known as Flow).CSS3.HTML5.MEAN Stack.ReactJS.React Native.User Interface Design.Vue.JS.Additional Information:Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
