Position Summary

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Manager, Field Sales and Marketing to lead a team of B2C Field Sales and Marketing Specialists. This role will focus on driving local sales initiatives and field marketing efforts to grow market share and increase brand awareness across our clients residential fiber markets. You will work side-by-side with the Corporate Marketing Manager who oversees the National Marketing strategy and team, ensuring that the Field Sales and Marketing local strategies are maximized for community engagement, sponsorships, and customer acquisition.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Residential Field Sales and Marketing Representatives, setting clear goals, providing ongoing coaching, and ensuring performance aligns with sales objectives.
  • Local Market Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement quarterly local field sales and marketing strategies tailored to individual markets, including sponsorships, events, and local advertising initiatives that support sales growth.
  • Collaboration with National Marketing: Work closely with the Corporate Marketing Manager to localize national marketing strategies, ensuring that field marketing efforts align with larger company goals and brand messaging.
  • Community Engagement & Sponsorships: Identify and manage local sponsorship opportunities to foster community relationships, build brand awareness, and support local sales initiatives.
  • Sales Performance Management: Oversee field sales activities, ensuring that the team actively builds a robust sales pipeline through door-to-door efforts, local marketing events, and lead nurturing through outbound phone calls and emails, with a focus on converting prospects into fiber internet customers.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze local sales performance and market insights to adjust strategies, improve effectiveness, and ensure continuous growth in customer acquisition and brand visibility.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between the field sales and marketing team and other internal departments, ensuring that local initiatives are well-supported, and that sales and marketing goals are consistently met.

Main Channels for Success:

  • Oversee door-to-door sales efforts, including door knocks, door hangers, and placing yard signs to promote fiber internet services.
  • Support lead generation and nurturing by guiding the team in making phone calls and sending emails to customers who have fallen out of the shopping cart, driving them toward completing their purchase.
  • Working closely with the national marketing team, you and your team will plan, host, and manage local community events that engage consumers and build brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and secure local sponsorships and advertising opportunities, including OOH placements that drive sales and awareness.

Qualifications of a strong candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience leading a sales team and implementing sales strategies and activities.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, with a track record of driving performance and meeting objectives.
  • Expertise in blending local sales efforts with broader marketing strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach that maximizes both sales and brand visibility.
  • Ability to foster relationships with local communities, customers, and internal stakeholders, building a strong local presence for the brand.
  • Strong ability to use data and market insights to make informed decisions, adjust strategies, and continuously improve sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adjusting strategies to meet market demands.
  • Ability to travel to the communities we serve as needed.
