Overview
Gray Malin is a photography lifestyle brand and e-commerce site. We sell fine art photography as well as other goods/products for the home on our site www.graymalin.com. We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Social Media Creative Manager to engage the Gray Malin audience through all platforms utilizing our library of amazing visual content. The ideal candidate is a brand fan who is social media savvy, proficient in all analytical and social media tools, an effective communicator, writer and content creator. This is a specific role that includes a variety of duties, with the opportunity to be both creative and analytical while experiencing behind the scenes of a growing fine-art photography business. A positive attitude, creativity, and strong communication skills are a must!
Social Media Creative Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understand how to leverage social media as a tool to inspire conversion, drive sales, and ignite quality community growth within targeted audiences.
- Work with cross-functional marketing and creative team members to execute social media posts and strategies that engage and grow the Gray Malin audience on various social media platforms.
- Lead social media strategy by developing, executing, and maintaining social media content across relevant platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and Facebook.
- Manage the Gray Malin social media calendar across all relevant platforms and organize posts with static imagery, video assets, and copy.
- Ideate and create content that is relevant across various platforms working independent or with creative team members.
- Analyze how effective our content and programming cadence is, while making recommendations for improvement based on insights and trends. Create weekly reports with learned insights from social media to share with the company at weekly cross-functional marketing meetings.
- Manage performance tracking and reporting, including (but not limited to) monthly, campaign and ad-hoc reports, in addition to socialization across cross-functional and leadership teams.
- Develop compelling and engaging content for the Gray Malin social accounts with a strategic and methodical approach that turns fans and followers into customers.
- Leverage trends and trending topics on social media while tactfully and quickly adapting them for Gray Malin’s social media.
- Post and engage with fans on all relevant platforms and schedule posts with third party platforms like Dash Hudson or similar.
- Capture and share User Generated Content and Reviews for strategic placement on the Gray Malin website and social channels to engage customers and fans.
- Knowledgeable on trends with the ability to quickly pivot when needed to capture key strategic moments socially.
Experience & Education:
Experience required: At least 5 years of marketing and/or social media management for a like minded brand, ideally in the ecommerce industry.
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree is required. A major in Marketing, Business or Communication is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in & managing content with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tik Tok.
- Experience and knowledge of the ecommerce industry (Shopify experience a plus)
- Short-format video editing programs for social media.
- Adobe photo editing programs.
- Excellent copywriting skills
- A natural storyteller who understands the Gray Malin brand, voice, and aesthetic appeal.
- Strong understanding of home décor and interest in lifestyle brands including the Gray Malin brand.
- Experience in visual storytelling on social media.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong awareness of US social media best practices and platform knowledge, understanding measurement metrics of success.
- Experience with online analytical tools like Google Analytics as well as native platform reporting tools for Meta, TikTok, etc. and social scheduling applications
- Experience using collaborative project management tools and applications like Asana, Wrike, etc.
