POSITION SUMMARY

Fuse Media is looking for a temporary Assistant Editor to join our Post-Production Team in our Glendale, California office. In this role, the ideal person will support all editorial and processing aspects of Fuse content for delivery to various platforms, as well as work with the Manager of Post-Production on assets to archive media and projects when edits are complete.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Assistant Editor is primarily responsible for importing, exporting, and transcoding media content for final delivery to broadcast facilities and digital platforms and partners.
  • Fulfill various requests from peer groups for post-production needs (i.e. screener links).
  • Address standards & practices notes for reformatting acquired content.
  • Edit work includes but is not limited to addressing S&P notes, formatting content to various clocks, adding breaks/break markers, and adjusting end credits.
  • Will register media in archive and utilize existing processing workflows.
  • May QC (including video codec/frame rates and adjustment of audio levels as needed) for long form and short form content.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience in post-production preferred
  • 2 years of experience with Premiere and a MAM preferred.
  • Proven proactive trouble-shooter and problem solver.
  • Strong understanding of file codecs and formats.
  • Client service experience.
  • Comfortable in a Mac and PC environment.
  • Strong proficiency in computer software applications. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Premiere)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented, organized, flexible, timely and accurate.
  • Willing to work occasional overtime and weekends, as needed.

SALARY RANGE

  • Up to $25.00 per hour (DOE)
