Media Engineer

We are seeking a Media Engineer with experience in broadcast engineering, IT, and fiber optics. The role requires flexibility with hours as the schedule will be driven by sporting events and related media coverage. This includes the possibility of working weekends, nights, and third shifts. Media Engineer

23+ month Contract

Onsite: The Woodlands, TX

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and manage media production operations with a focus on live sports events.
• Handle the setup and maintenance of television production hardware and software.
• Manage and troubleshoot fiber optics connections and networking protocols.
• Oversee systems management, server administration, and TCP/IP configurations.
• Work closely with broadcast and production teams to ensure seamless media coverage.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Fiber Optics (knowledge and hands-on experience).
• 2+ years of experience in IT, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of television production hardware/software, systems specifications, and server administration.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols on both servers and workstations.

Schedule:

• Alternate work schedule based on sporting events and media needs.
• Must be willing to work weekends, nights, and third shifts
