REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2-4 years of SEM/Campaign mgmt experience
- Experience working directly with clients via email, face-to-face or virtual meetings and calls – they will be responsible for running presentations or parts of presentations themselves
- Solid understanding of Google Ads platform
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree – Journalism, Marketing, Business
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with Microsoft Advertising Google Ads Certifications or willingness to become certified upon employment
JOB DESCRIPTION
An employer is looking to add a SEM/Paid Search Strategist to their team. This person will spend 50% of their time providing support and strategy for the current Search Engine Marketing and Sales teams. For example, if the sales team has a potential client, this person could spend their time auditing the account, assisting in client calls, giving strategy recommendations, and helping with proposals. The other 50% of the time they will be responsible for actual client campaigns, executing/optimizing these paid search campaigns, as well as working in Google Ads managing the SEM accounts. With having 2 main parts to their role, they will need to be able to be flexible and understand prioritization. Eventually, the goal is for this individual to build out the strategist piece of SEM and the campaign management portion of their role will phase out, but there is not timeline for this right now.
