Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated User Experience (UX) Specialist with a strong background in human-centered design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-friendly solutions, a keen eye for detail, experiences with the analysis and design of industrial applications, and the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive experiences. Knowledge in the railway domain is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $122,100 - $143,500. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated User Experience (UX) Specialist with a strong background in human-centered design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-friendly solutions, a keen eye for detail, experiences with the analysis and design of industrial applications, and the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive experiences. Knowledge in the railway domain is a plus.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Human-Centered Design: Lead and apply human-centered design processes to develop user experiences that are both effective and engaging. This includes user research, persona creation, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability evaluations.
- UX Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of user needs, behaviors, and pain points to inform design decisions. Understand user and functional requirements. Provide actionable insights that inform design decisions.
- UX Concepts: Systematically explore, assess, select, and present UX concepts that align with business objectives, railway domain rules, and user needs. Ensure these concepts are effectively communicated to stakeholders through visual and verbal presentations.
- Design Specifications: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and front-end development, to write clear and concise design specifications. Ensure these design specifications are aligned with the user and functional requirements.
- Railway Domain Expertise (Plus): Apply knowledge of the railway industry to design user experiences that cater to specific needs and regulations within this domain.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Proficiency in human-centered design processes, including user research, prototyping, and usability evaluation.
- Ability to comprehend dependencies of a complex industrial domain (e.g., railway domain)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in UX analysis and developing user-centric solutions.
- Proven ability to write clear, actionable design specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Knowledge of the railway domain is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD (we use Figma).
- Experiences working in international project teams
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
