We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Converter Designer to join our innovative Mixed Signal Chip team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing world-class high-speed ADCs for battery-powered applications, with a focus on high resolution SAR ADCs and Class D (Sigma-Delta ADC based) designs to drive high-performance transducers used in audio and haptics applications. In this role, you will be developing solutions that push the boundaries of low-power consumption, high efficiency, and exceptional performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including digital designers, analog power management designers, system engineers, and product engineers, helping to deliver cutting-edge solutions for the next generation of consumer electronics.About the RoleKey Responsibilities:Mixed Signal Circuit Design: Lead the design and development of mixed signal ADC circuits, including Class D amplifiers and signal conditioning circuits for driving high-performance transducers in audio and haptic systems.Battery-Powered Systems: Optimize circuits for low-power consumption in battery-powered devices, ensuring high efficiency without compromising audio or haptic performance.IC Development: Collaborate with mixed-signal and power management design teams to integrate mixed signal blocks into complex SoCs.System-Level Design: Work with system architects to define specifications and ensure the data converter subsystems meet overall performance requirementsSimulation & Validation: Conduct extensive simulations (e.g., Cadence, SPICE) and validate designs through laboratory testing using state-of-the-art measurement equipment.Collaboration: Interface with cross-functional teams globally to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are manufacturable at scale.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Expert-level experience in mixed signal (data converter) circuit design, particularly with high-speed ADCs and Class D amplifier topologies in low-power, battery-operated systems.Proven track record in designing mixed signal ICs, including filters, ADC/DAC interfaces, and power management circuits.Strong understanding of audio and haptic transducer technology and system-level considerations for maximizing performance.Proficiency in simulation tools such as Cadence, Spectre, SPICE, or equivalent.Experience in layout considerations for analog/mixed-signal circuits and working with layout engineers to ensure first-time success in silicon.Hands-on experience with lab measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, audio analyzers, and network analyzers) for characterization and validation of designs.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with global teams and customers.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with audio systems, especially in relation to optimizing audio signal paths and transducer integration.Knowledge of haptics and tactile feedback technologies, particularly in relation to efficient drive circuitry.Familiarity with EMI/EMC challenges in audio and haptic systems and experience designing for compliance.Previous experience with battery-powered consumer electronics and the associated trade-offs between performance and power efficiency.
