Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the development, implementation, and performance of Bank events and community outreach programs. Includes both small and large events e.g. parades, festivals, sporting events, etc.Oversees and facilitates internal Bank events including customer engagement initiatives (e.g. customer appreciation) and employee celebrations (e.g. Christmas party).Works to build a volunteer base for events.Responsible for event staffing and ensuring staff is fully aware of event goals and objectives.Sets objectives and expectations for all outreach activities and reports results to the Customer and Community Engagement Manager.Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and external community partners.Responsible for vetting and responding to all donations and sponsorship requests in accordance with established guidelines with the Customer and Community Engagement Manager.Effectively tracks and operates within the event, sponsorship, and donation budgets.Responsible to review and maintain sponsorship, donation, and event related contracts to ensure maximum exposure for First Federal. Identifies opportunities within existing contracts to generate additional exposure for benefit to First Federal or its communities. Actively seeks new partnerships that help advance the Bank's mission.Responds to community engagement inquiries, this may involve contacting and coordinating a subject matter expert to assist.Provide input and helps organize publicity of bank events, donations, and sponsorships.Work with the City of Twin Falls for needs of the First Federal Park.Assists the First Federal Foundation Board to execute biannual giving programs.Oversees and manages the First Fed Difference Award program.Supervises and facilitates the Bank's "Pay It Forward" program.Shows a commitment to learning and understanding First Federal's history, procedures, and guidelines while integrating with established systems and operations.To perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws, and regulations applicable to job function.Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist others in the Marketing Department as needed or requested.
Qualifications Required
(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)
High school diploma and 2+ years' experience in managing and coordinating large and small events along with 1+ years' experience working with organizations to establish relationships.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time; requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment.Occasional travel required. Must be insurable and licensed in order to drive company vehicles. Periodically required to perform manual work, lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and/or to participate in team lift. Able to work after hours as required. This position does require some evening and weekend availability and does require work outside the office for events.
Qualifications Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Marketing and 3 years of professional work experience in marketing, event planning and/or public relations role.2 years' experience in event planning and management, outreach and/or community giving.Proven experience working with media and other external communication channels to generate publicity and general banking knowledge/awareness are preferred.
