The Red Hat Customer Content Services team is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform team in the Raleigh, Durham, or Brno office. Other Red Hat office locations may be considered. In this role, you will create and maintain high quality user documentation and premium content that accompanies Red Hat offerings, available through Red Hat's customer portal. You'll work closely with developers, engineers, and other subject matter experts to develop and manage the content that helps our customers succeed with Red Hat offerings and solutions. What you will do: Work closely with content strategists, program managers, engineering teams, support, and other stakeholders to create and maintain high quality product documentation Effectively manage projects and deliver documentation that aligns with customer use personas and use cases and company goals Engage and collaborate with customer feedback programs to address content gaps, respond to feedback, and promote continuous improvement of the documentation experience Serve as a domain expert on documentation best practices, provide thought leadership, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that Red Hat customers enjoy exceptional content experiences Work cross-functionally within program teams to drive improvements to the accuracy, usability, and clarity of documentation Keep up to date on changes to Red Hat offerings, customer use cases, and support issues Master the use of our internal documentation toolchain, including the publishing platform and issue tracking tools What you will bring: Demonstrated expertise or experience with enterprise-level content development, publishing, maintenance, and management, especially related to software development Familiarity with structured authoring, topic-based authoring, modular authoring, minimalism, docs as code, or similar content development tools and methodologies Ability to work hybrid in a Red Hat office Familiarity and interest in information architecture principles, con Ability to work with diverse stakeholders to solve complex problems Excellent communication skills to collaborate and directly interact with globally-distributed stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Ability to inspire, mentor, or lead others irrespective of job titles Nice to have: Experience with agile and comfort with rapid iteration and fast delivery The salary range for this position is $90,480.00 - $144,660.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
