Location: Madison (WI) or Knoxville (TN)
Salary: $25 per hour
Contract: 12-20 hours a week part time
Reporting to: VP of Program Management
Your role in the mission:
Type One Energy Group, Inc.’s Madison, WI office is seeking a part time senior or graduate student in Computer Simulation/Animation to apply your education and experience in the development of discrete-event simulation/animation models for a new fusion energy device.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating realistic simulations and animations, with an understanding of systems engineering concepts and computer graphics. This role will require someone who can work with cross-functional teams to bring complex concepts to life through dynamic visualizations.
- Design and develop high-quality, discrete-event simulations and animations supporting the engineering design of complex systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Utilize advanced software tools and models to create realistic models and animations.
- Test and validate simulations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to simulation and animation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in computer graphics, simulation, and animation.
What you’ll need:
- Senior level student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or a related field in 2025. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven education and experience with computer simulation/animation software modeling packages (e.g., Arena)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
