Job Description
The Standard in White House is looking for an assistant community manager to join our team! The ideal candidate is a team player who has multifamily property management and leasing experience.
Job Summary
The Assistant Community Manager will provide support in all areas of community operations while developing tenant relationships and managing to all aspects of lease administration to ensure the property is performing at the highest potential.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Fields questions from tenants, with follow up and resolution.
- Maintains availability reports.
- Assists leasing with payment processing, phone coverage and work orders.
- Ensures all applicable deposits, rents, and other fees are collected and deposited.
- Monitors tenant compliance with lease agreements.
- Reviews files and ensures accuracy for all lease paperwork and entries into AppFolio.
- Processes rental applications.
- Runs monthly audits on accounts and ensures all monies are allocated correctly – ensures leases have been renewed and up to date.
- Responsible for move-outs and updates the make-ready board.
- Prepares make-ready requests for maintenance technicians.
- Assists with property inspections after units have been made-ready.
- Maintains marketing updates on various sites.
- Assists with annual budgets as needed.
- Performs daily property walks.
- Serves as back-up to the Community Manager in the event the Community Manager is absent.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills and a focus on details.
- Understanding of laws, guidelines, and best practices of property management.
- Proficient with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, internal associates, ownership, and vendors.
- Strong business acumen.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years combined leasing, marketing, or operations experience in the multifamily industry.
- Experience using Appfolio is strongly preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds at a time without assistance.
- Must be able to walk various terrain and climb stairs and ladders.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart and company vehicle.

Valid and current Driver’s License
Must past a background check, drug screen and motor vehicle report prior to first day of employment
Fair Housing certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days of employment (course provided by employer)
Additional Compensation:
This position is eligible for monthly commissions.
