CONTENT STRATEGIST - (REMOTE FIRST OPPORTUNITY)
Our one-of-a-kind healthcare strategy and marketing firm has an excellent opportunity for a Content Strategist - someone that will research, plan, and write scientific and medical content for a variety of promotional materials facing patients, providers, and members of the allied health community.
The Position
The successful candidate will:
Assists accounts in development of core brand strategies - positioning, messaging and overall account strategic direction
Research, write, and develop scientific and medical content for a variety of promotional resources, including evaluating and identifying supporting documentation, developing strategic recommendations for content, drafting content outlines, and organizing and annotating references
Provide direction for writers by producing outlines or first drafts of copy for highly technical subjects and/or clinically oriented pieces, and by conducting and helping direct literature searches and defining content sources for writers
Partners with accounts on client communications as needed
Produces content plans, outlines and first draft of copy for strategically-oriented, anchor pieces or campaigns
Creates first drafts of slide presentations for art and copy refinement
Ensures accuracy and completeness of all strategic, clinical and scientific content
Provides feedback for art directors to ensure that imagery is scientifically accurate, on message, and target-audience appropriate
Directs literature searches and partners with analytics team as needed
Researches and answers any agency or client questions
Adheres to status and project kick-off meeting responsibilities
Monitors and communicates individual hours and budget status of projects
Communicates issues or concerns to the appropriate team members in a timely and effective manner
Keeps supervisor informed of all important buesiness related matters
Participates in client relationships as needed
Produces and maintains copy documents and files
Attends and participates in status meetings as needed
Is responsible for special projects as necessary
The Person
We are looking for a candidate who is smart, creative, and able to see the "big picture" to elicit impactful key insights, while maintaining Purohit Navigation's reputation for attention to detail and quality. The successful candidate will have:
Required
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience.
2+ years content strategy development experience and specifically more than 1+ year in medical communications agency preferred
Strong scientific foundation with capability to rapidly become familiar with therapeutic areas and therapies
Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts succinctly and clearly at the appropriate levels to a wide range of audiences
Strong oral and written communication skill
Ability to craft a story from various sources of information
Ability to work in a team. Must take the initiative to provide input to cross-functional team members
Broad knowledge of the healthcare industry and environment
Experience in writing and editing the full spectrum of promotional materials
Ability to work under pressure; on-time, on-budget completion of programs
Detail oriented
Desire and ability to make clinical material more interesting, accessible, and engaging
Preferred
Advanced degree - Masters in science-related field, PhD, PharmD, or MD or equivalent experience preferred
Familiarity with FDA, DDMAC, and PhARMA guidelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced PowerPoint skills
Working Environment
This position is performed in a remote-first and office environment
Required to work as necessary to meet responsibilities
Travel to client and conference sites in performance of duties is also required
Visits to client facilities
