Reporting to the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with Marketing team members, consultants and agencies, the Specialist will plan and execute marketing campaigns and lead social media marketing efforts for United Food Bank. The Specialist will collaborate with both external partners and internal teams for effective communication and marketing strategies in order to achieve our organizational strategic goals of alleviating hunger in our community and service areas.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Campaign Management (25%)Partner with internal teams and/or external resources on campaign messaging, design, production, editing, approvals, and trafficking.Collaborate with internal teams and external resources to provide marketing and communications support for events and fundraising initiatives, including landing page creation and strategySocial Media Marketing (25%) Own the strategy and creation of content on social media platforms to drive engagement and audience growth Monitor and analyze the performance of social media effortsMarketing Content & Collateral (40%)Assist with making content updates to the website and other online listings as neededCollaborate with Marketing Manager and outside vendors on updating and implementing brand standardsDevelop monthly email newsletters and assist with email marketing campaignsDevelop and oversee the creation of diverse marketing collateral, including flyers and promotional materialsAssist with capturing photos/videos at events, tours, volunteer sessions, and agency visits throughout the company for internal and external useCollaborate with storyteller to drive development of engaging stories that speak to target audiences External Partnerships & PR (10%)Activate earned media opportunities in partnership with a public relations firm, leveraging staff that has previously completed media trainingMaintain strong working relationships across all departments to manage marketing opportunities and spokesperson requests RequirementsQualifications and experience we are looking for: Passion for alleviating hunger.2-3 years of professional marketing experience with a focus on social media and content marketing Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree (A.A.) (or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school) and 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceComputer proficiency in Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Software, specifically Word and ExcelPR and event coordination experience a plusPhotography/Videography experience a plusWordPress experience a plusProficient in creating diverse marketing collateral and promotional materialsExperience executing social media strategies and campaignsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentDetail-oriented and self-motivated individualMust be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the food bank Ability to effectively analyze situations and resolve routine and complex problemsAdept at handling multiple tasks and concurrent projectsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesPhysical demands and work environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
