Ad Partnerships Marketing Lead

Philo is searching for a highly motivated, creative-meets-strategic thinker who can ideate, develop, and execute strategies and tactics aimed at maximizing ad sales revenue to join our innovative, programmatic-first team. Reporting to the Head of Advertising with a dotted line to Marketing, this individual will be responsible for developing, positioning, packaging, and promoting Philo's ads business. The role requires a leader with diverse skillsets to help us shape essential functions that are critical for growth, such as sales narratives, ad product marketing, B2B marketing, communications, sponsorships, and event management. It will be a pivotal partner to Philo's advertising sales team to support revenue growth across all lines of business (through direct sales, resellers, and programmatic channels) and industries (such as all retail categories, automotive, political, etc.). Philo is a start-up environment that requires this role to both lead and execute, setting high-level strategies while balancing executional needs.

What You'll Do:
  • Key partner to Philo's advertising sales team to support revenue goals by developing, positioning, packaging, and promoting elements such as sales narratives, ad products, and other B2B marketing tactics
  • Collaborate with the ads team to craft Philo's client-facing, go-to-market narrative and value proposition to educate and influence the advertising community on the benefits and differentiators of Philo's product, audience, and ecosystem using data, audience insights, client feedback, and more. Oversee the design, development, and execution of research, thought leadership projects, and sales materials.
  • Generate and execute cross-channel media plans (OOH, digital, search, social) targeted to the advertising community to drive awareness and leads for the Philo ads business.
  • Work closely with Philo comms to secure high-profile placements, speaking engagements, etc., that highlight Philo's leadership position in the CTV and programmatic advertising space.
  • Prioritize and plan ad industry event attendance, sponsorships, etc.
  • Coordinate marketing resources across different teams and ensure that production meets the budgeted level and program objectives, including timely delivery of objectives.
  • Engage stakeholders across Ad Sales/Partnerships, Marketing, Communications, Design, Product, Data Science, Finance, and Content/BD in both the development and launch of advertising-focused marketing initiatives.
  • Develop new ideas and communicate potential uses for analytics across the business.
  • Understand financial and ad effectiveness metrics and apply them toward marketing plans for budget and margin assurance purposes.
  • Communicate learning/recommendations and obtain buy-in from Ad Sales/Partnerships, Marketing, and senior leaders.
  • Ensure the team is maintaining and improving ongoing ad product marketing programs, analyses, and reports.
  • Command a thorough grasp of the CTV ad sales marketplace and supply chain, including competitors, ad-tech players, and measurement/data providers.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in B2B marketing for CTV, digital video or Ad Tech.
  • Deep understanding of CTV and ad tech landscape, including players, trends, publications, events
  • Understanding of both direct and programmatic sales models and ability to craft stories for both perspectives
  • Proven experience formulating and implementing cross-channel media plans (including OOH, digital, search, and social) specifically tailored to engage media advertising professionals
  • Extremely proactive with the drive to achieve your own and broader business goals.
  • A passion for providing best-in-class, innovative CTV solutions for brands and improved experience for viewers

Compensation: Includes annual salary between $170K - $210K depending on experience and location, company stock options and health benefits
