Marketing and Special Events Coordinator

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Marketing and Special Events Coordinator is responsible for independently managing the design, planning, development, implementation, and execution of EHS's organizational marketing strategies, campaigns, special events and tactics. Incumbent must possess positive attitude, the willingness to take initiative, strong work ethic, and a drive for excellence with a relentless pursuit of perfection and keen sense of values, ethics, morals, integrity, and character. Must be able to work well on a team. Position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast paced and dynamic environment.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Develops, implements, and analyze marketing strategies and campaigns to engage various audiences and generate volume growth in all EHS service lines.
- In collaboration with Spyhop, creates marketing materials such as designing brochures, pamphlets, flyers, mailing invitations, and advertising online to promote Effingham Health System Services and events.
- In collaboration with Spyhop, develops and execute print and digital communications for a variety of target audiences.
- In collaboration with Spyhop, develops and manage graphics and design projects, ensuring consistency of messaging and branding guidelines.
- In collaboration with Spyhop, develops content, administer, and track analytics for social media platforms with team; follow best practices to maximize social media reach and engagement.
- In collaboration with Spyhop, manage and maintain all company online presence, including website, emails, social media, and blogs; manage inquiries generated on these platforms to increase engagement and awareness.
- In collaboration with Spyhop, facilitate advertising, press releases and media partnerships.
- Coordinate and participate in promotional activities such as Galas, trade shows, conferences, meetings, and corporate events. Logistics can include booking booth and meeting space, creation of registration badges, securing venue, vendors, seating, catering, guest list, décor, giveaways, activities, volunteers, and facilitating committee/staff engagement.
- Coordinates event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers, including booking travel arrangements, and negotiating fees.
- Evaluates competitive health care services, utilization of services and facilities, physician preferences and community needs.
- Coordinates the event by arranging logistics such as setting up tables and chairs and arranging lighting.
- Creates and propose a budget for each event and monitoring spending throughout the planning process to ensure that costs are controlled.
- Determines the best location for an event based on client needs, available resources, and potential attendees.
- Identifies opportunities for program growth and provides recommendations to senior leadership.
- Supports EHS ventures that positively impact marketing and business development (e.g., Lunch and Learns, tours, public speaking engagements, regional representation at meetings, and networking opportunities).
- Provide Support for EHS Foundation fundraising events with community partners as needed.
- Delegates event planning tasks to other staff members and employee resource groups where necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Level of Education: bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience that provides the competencies to perform the standard of performance.
Formal Training: Ability to work in a dynamic, inclusive team environment with a community-centered philosophy. Professional, positive, and friendly interpersonal and customer service skills. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Valid class C driver's license.
Work Experience: A minimum of Three years' experience with marketing, social media management, and event planning. Knowledge of hospital industry trends and best practices highly preferred.
Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills required (Microsoft Office products). Willingness to learn basic design, database, and web-based platforms.
