The Worldwide Apple Retail Engagement & Marketing (REM) team defines, makes and delivers programs, campaigns, initiatives and experiences that help Apple Retail’s customers and teams discover, be inspired by, learn about and go further with Apple’s products and services, and does so in a manner that is true to our values! We are looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director to join the Retail Engagement & Marketing team. In this role, you’ll lead and develop a team of art directors and motion, production, and graphic designers to develop creative strategy, visual identity, and experiential design for internal communications, events, and experiences that inspire and empower the work of Retail teams worldwide.DescriptionIn this role, you’ll be the gate keeper of REM’s WW visual and brand identity, design standards and best practices. You will lead and create global and localized programs and campaigns across platforms and mediums, working closely with strategists, experience designers, creative writers, digital editors, and videographers. You will do everything from conceptualizing to reviewing creative work, serving as a strong voice, educator, and leader of others. You will spearhead the development and impeccable execution of a variety of projects and deliverables — from motion graphics, illustration, and photography to video, 3D renderings, and VR/XR. As our ideal candidate, you are an inspiring leader, creative thinker and visual communicator, adept at advocating for innovative approaches and turning complex business problems into simple yet inspiring creative solutions. You also have a richly global mentality, a broad cultural awareness and a sharp understanding of news, trends and entertainment media across multiple markets.Minimum QualificationsDesign background with 10+ experience working in global media and publishing companies, advertising agencies, or global corporate communications for B2B or B2C in the tech sector, and/or retail businesses.Portfolio of strong creative work across digital, social or print media on a variety of topics, including commercial, learning, and new technologies.Bachelor’s degree required in a design-related field, such as graphic design or visual communication.Key QualificationsPreferred Qualifications12+ years experience with global media, tech or cultural-impact brands, including 5 years leading and growing global design teams.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience working directly with executive teams and senior leadership in corporate environments. Proven record driving collaboration and influencing decisions by building positive relationships.Experience with editorial content, deep knowledge of user experience, and are able to iterate multiple concepts and creative solutions within an established design aesthetic.Demonstrated experience and/or interest in emerging technologies, including ML/AI and VR/XR.Clear and concise communicator with strong organizational skills, and ability to create clear processes, while maintaining flexibility for change.Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize projects and resources based on business needs and priority shifts.Ability to cut through ambiguity on complex topics and confidently articulate concepts and present work to senior leaders and executives, and other strategic partners via clear, compelling storytellingExperience working with UX designers and platform leads to develop content outlines and future-proof platform enhancementsThrives in a very dynamic environment, and can effectively work across cross-functional teams and geographies while demonstrating integrity at all times.Education & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,700 and $266,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
