Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.RequirementsEssential Functions:Participates in the production of finished plans, specifications and approval of materials and construction on small to moderate sized projectsAssist in coordination of the planning and development of construction and design document production; provide technical support to ensure coordinated and high-quality documentsPerform analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layoutsParticipates in the creation and review projects reports, estimates, calculations, specifications, and compile/analyze relevant dataPerform construction administration duties, such as site visits, RFI responses, submittals, and punch list reviewsParticipate in project coordination meetingsProvide guidance for less experienced project associates and internsInvolve explorations of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methodsContribute innovative design ideas that consistently capture the intended design visionContribute to bold design solutions that balance scale, aesthetics, and context to maximize the impact to the individual and communityCompetencies: Proficiency in Revit requiredProficiency with Adobe Creative Suites required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Proficiency with Sketchup and Rhino preferred. Lumion, Enscape, and V-Ray is a plusStrong working knowledge of zoning and building codes, specifications, building /engineering systems and agency requirements (NFPA, ADAAG, FGI, OBC, IBC etc)Possess a balanced blend of design and technical skillsKnowledge in the design process, construction documentation and construction administrationOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAbility to meet schedule deadlines and work within the client's budgetExcellent organization and client presentation skillsPassion for providing exceptional client serviceCollaborative and professional work ethicCertification Requirements NoneSupervisory Requirements May offer guidance for project associates or interns as neededWork Environment This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels including collaborative work areas for team meetings. Each office location has a workstation for scanning/ photocopying and a cafe for dining.
