What Creative Services contributes to Cardinal Health

Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing and monitoring the appropriate products and services.

Creative Services is responsible for the conception, design and production of creative projects and programs from intake through delivery. These projects support marketing communication goals for the business.

Job Summary

The Senior Designer supports the strategic direction and creation of multimedia marketing communications materials for the Medical Segment. This Senior Designer will be predominantly responsible for

animation and video editing work

, including concepting, developing and producing brand-right creative marketing collateral and digital content for internal marketing clients. The Senior Designer must exhibit strong design skills in achieving the highest possible standards for all materials requiring design in assigned projects and tasks. The Senior Designer partners closely with in-house account managers and writers to ensure material is optimized for omnichannel experiences. The Senior Designer is expected to work directly with internal Medical Segment business partners to understand their unique business challenges, then execute creative requests as defined by the client and aligned to primary brand.

Responsibilities

Designs creative campaign elements from starttofinish, with a strong focus on developing content such as digital collateral including animated social media graphics, short video content or related elements

Develops initial layouts, storyboards or mock-ups for creative review

Leads concepting and execution of high-level creative projects as assigned

Produces and is accountable for the final development of creative assets and ensures accuracy, attention to detail and overall meets or exceeds the design objectives within Brand standards

Effectively handles creative project management with internal partners and responds to all requests and communications ina timely and thorough manner

Works to improve the team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach

Successfully completes strategic projects as assigned by Creative Services Manager

Engages in professional development to continuously grow in profession and remain competitive with outside services

Travels to Dublin, OH, up to 3 times per month

Qualifications

Excellent typography, design and production skills in digital mediums, with a strong understanding and execution ofmotion, video, interactive and social media best practices. Experience in print mediums a plus.

Demonstrates proficient expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects/Premier Pro, Acrobat and Illustrator. Adobe certification a plus.

Demonstrates understanding of UX and interactive design principles

Experience in interactive platforms such as Ceros, XD, and/or Sketch a plus

Actively learns new techniques to be more proficient in their design skills while sharing and mentoring the other members of the design team

Experience in executing creative concepts across platforms, including digital, social media and print

Highly organized with a strong record of working independently, meeting deadlines and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and a record of collaboration and teamwork.

Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Graphic Design or related field

3+ years professional level experience required in creative/graphic design within an external or in-house agency preferred

Digital Portfolio required (portfolio website or PDF under 10MB)

Anticipated salary range:

$66,500 - $94,900

** The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
