Role Summary
Manages a team of marketing and product associates responsible for leading key growth, marketing, and operations activities within our College Savings business. Guides staff responsible for selling the organization's college savings products and services to new clients and/or client retention and account growth. In partnership with our relationship managers, will also engage directly with our state clients. Contributes to the team's achievement of sales, retention, and client satisfaction targets. Manages the human and financial resources of the assigned teams.

Base salary ranges:
$163,500.00 - $279,500.00 for the location of: California, New York
$144,000.00 - $246,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$131,000.00 - $223,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.

Responsibilities
- Guides team to achieve assigned sales and relationship management objectives. May identify areas of focus for achieving incremental growth and implements protocols to guide Sales and Relationship Management teams in integrating these focus areas into their sales and relationship management strategies.
- Coordinates with cross-business managers throughout the function to develop improved processes and protocols tied to sales and relationship management activities. Ensures team is providing a seamless sales and client experience and may assist in the coordination of levels of service across the business. Serves as an escalation point for critical service issues or roadblocks; shepherds issues through to resolution.
- Manages the production and coordination of many key client deliverables: quarterly kits used with our state clients, RFI responses for our annual Morningstar evaluation, Plan Disclosure Documents and Annual Reports, etc.
- Tracks and reports on sales strategy/relationship plan and results for the assigned teams. Reports on function metrics and dashboards. Provides guidance to assigned staff on executing the relationship plan and achieving assigned annual goals.
- Engages directly with our multi-asset partners on any investment-related opportunities or decisions that impact any of the college savings portfolios. Responsible for many of the activities required to execute these types of changes (i.e. website, plan disclosure, client kits, etc.)
- Manages the implementation of strategies for pricing and contract terms within the assigned teams that will optimize revenue generation. Directs research and analysis on the business environment for assigned clients, industry trends, and competitor services/offerings.
- Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Accountable for the management of the financial and human resources of their assigned team to include budgeting, hiring, discipline, etc.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred
- Master's degree
- Direct experience leading marketing and/or product teams
- Strong technical acumen and/or working knowledge of the college savings industry
