Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to join our team, focusing on audience development and growth. This role will manage our email marketing campaigns, primarily using Active Campaign ESP, to send weekly newsletters, run sweepstakes, build forms and landing pages, and execute audience engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, creative, data-driven, and passionate about building customer relationships through email marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
● Email Campaign Management:
○ Develop, schedule, and execute weekly email newsletters using Active Campaign ESP.
○ Manage email automation workflows to nurture leads and engage with existing customers.
○ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure we send engaging and relevant email content that aligns with our brand voice and business goals.
● Sweepstakes & Contests:
○ Plan and execute sweepstakes and contest campaigns to drive engagement and grow our email list.
○ Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotions that attract our target audience.
● Form & Landing Page Development:
○ Build and optimize web forms, landing pages, and pop-ups within Active Campaign to capture leads and increase conversions.
○ Ensure all forms and landing pages are user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and aligned with current design trends.
● Audience Development:
○ Develop strategies to grow our subscriber base through email list building, partnerships, and audience segmentation.
○ Monitor email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and provide insights for continuous improvement.
● Analytics & Reporting:
○ Track and analyze email campaign performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
○ Produce reports on key performance indicators and present findings to stakeholders.
● Compliance & Deliverability:
○ Ensure email campaigns comply with industry regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and best practices for deliverability.
○ Manage subscriber preferences and maintain clean, high-quality email lists.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in email marketing, preferably with Active Campaign or similar ESPs.
● Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, automation, and audience segmentation.
● Experience running sweepstakes, contests, or promotions to build audience engagement.
● Proficient in building forms and landing pages, preferably within Active Campaign or similar platforms.
● Ability to analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
● Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and email compliance standards.
● Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
● Familiarity with the home improvement industry or experience in a marketplace business model.
● Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email template customization.
● Experience with A/B testing and optimization.
