OVERVIEW: To ensure the highest standards of service to client while maintaining operational efficiency, intradepartmental communication, and cohesive relationships within the company.

ROLE: The TD is the manager responsible, directly or indirectly through subordinates, for the successful delivery of ITA products and services to customers through the efficient use of ITA’s resources - people, capital, facilities and time. ITA Managers are working supervisors. This is a hands-on position that includes, but is not limited to, the following


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee the planning and assume ownership of the successful execution of all Cincinnati base office events as well as others as assigned.
  2. Exceeding customer’s expectations by making sure events are delivered on time, without performance issues and with a high degree of customer service.
  3. Direct supervision of all events and technical leadership of large scale/complex events as assigned.
  4. Master R2 and ensure events are quoted fully and properly.
  5. Gain technical Mastery of all ITA equipment within the first year of employment.
  1. Staff Development
    • Interviewing, selecting, training, appraising and coaching employees.
    • Planning and directing the work of technicians.
    • Resolving employee situations or client challenges.
      • Manage staff development and mastery of the Event Technology.
    • Labor scheduling to ensure business requirements are accommodated while also controlling costs to keep in line with ITA’s labor-to-revenue guidelines.
    • Ensure staffs’ expertise using AV on field assignments exceeds proficiency.
    • Ensure staff

      3. Are properly groomed and attired
        1. Silence and do not use mobile devices during meetings and events
        2. Are not under the influence of banned substance on the job
        3. Do not take breaks, smoke, consume food or beverages while working
        4. Are cross trained and rotated on events to avoid client reliance on one or more team members
  1. Control Expenses and deliver events within ITA profit goals and expense criteria.
    • Asset oversight – AV is handled with care, functions properly and returns to WH in good order.
    • Control ITA costs keeping them in line with labor-to-revenue guidelines-
    • Minimize sublet products/services and repair costs by properly handling and maintaining ITA assets
    • Source any sub labor and sub rent equipment and consumables. Create purchase orders.
    • Review invoices/approve invoices as required.
  1. Visit high profile/value events to quality control
    • Promote goodwill and assure clients by managing their expectations before, during and after events
  2. Be accessible to clients and ITA as needed
  3. The timely provision of CAD renderings for qualified meetings and special events
  4. Sales and internal support including
    • Technical training and assistance
    • Field assignments, site surveys and phone support
    • Stimulate ITA/client interaction by suggesting creative ways to enhance their events.
    • Identifying & referring new business opportunities
    • Assessing needs and developing R2 proposals to specification
      1. Required resources
        • ITA and/or other
      2. Identify and detailing potential obstacles/challenges
        • Location/venue access
        • Union requirements
        • City/County regulations
        • Weather factors
    • Scheduling field technicians to support satellite locations
  1. Ongoing research and evaluate existing resources and emerging AV technologies suitability for ITA purposes.
    • Sublet suppliers - available resources and pricing
    • Marketplace intelligence - trending technology adopted by contemporaries
    • Current and future offerings from suppliers
      1. Obtain promising competitive products to rigorously test functionality and durability for their intended use
    • Best practices – documentation, adoption and deployment
    • Develop purchase recommendations for AV, rigging, lighting, etc. upon request

  1. General Administrative
    • Immediately bring all conflicts to the attention of their Manager
    • Participate in disciplinary actions for subordinates
    • Participate in and make recommendations for termination of low performing subordinates.
    • ADP - update subordinate’s times regularly
    • Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organized
    • All internet use is appropriate and limited to ITA business
    • Make certain:
      1. All equipment movement is pre-scheduled and tracked in R2
      2. All completed work orders are accurate, finalized and submitted for invoicing daily
  2. Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects tolls, or controls, and talk, see and hear within accepatble ranges. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stop, kneel, crouch and crawl. From time to time, the employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs; frequently (less than 20% of the time) lift and/or move 100 lbs. Additional physical job requirements:

  1. Must be able to repeatedly lift and move objects weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
  2. Must be able to regularly use & work safely on ladders at heights of 12-16’.
  1. Must be able to safely operate company owned and leased vehicles, or own on company time.
  1. Crawl, kneel, able to get off floor, without assistance.
  1. Able to read instructions, computer screen – may use corrective lenses. Must be able to hear and see within acceptable ranges and feel with hands
  1. Climb stairs, walk without assistance.
  2. Able to work under tables, desks, racks and other confined spaces without assistance.
  3. Able to operate power tools safely.
  4. Use a keyboard without assistance.

And, of course, other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
