Description

In this position, you will be responsible for the overall daily operations and execution of the Events Production & Staging team. The position will provide oversight, planning, reporting, and employee management to ensure the highest level of client service and satisfaction is achieved. Oversee the delivery of a broad range of AV related services and solutions to include but not limited to event support, presentation, lighting, staging and creative services.

In this position your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Responsible for managing, supervising, scheduling, training, and evaluating Staff
  • Responsible for Operations
  • Responsible for being present and ensuring seamless execution of VIP and High-Profile Events from start to finish
  • Responsible for leading team and ensuring that we are staffed appropriately to cover our events
  • Understands that this is not a Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM environment. Must ensure presence is known, seen, and impactful. Evenings and Weekends are expected
  • Responsible for ensuring the team maintains our inventory in the highest manner possible, issues are reported immediately and followed through on until resolution is complete
  • Communicate closely with Event Planners, Clients, Technicians and Facility Managers to ensure that all audio-visual components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands, not only of individuals involved, but also the goal(s) of the particular event
  • Perform site visits with customers and/or event planners to determine their individual standards for onsite productions as it relates to audio visual technician support
  • Work with customers prior to, the day of, and during events to ensure the proper staffing and make real time adjustments as necessary
  • Be prepared to be a contingency technician on an exception basis which may include assist with room configuration, setup and tear down of audio-visual equipment in addition to physical configuration (lifting involved) and connecting and interfacing all audio-visual equipment
  • Work with third party vendor and union labor sources to ensure optimum outside labor sourcing (cost, skill level, flexibility, availability, etc.) as required.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equal job experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience with direct reports with full responsibility for performance management and growth
  • Knowledge of information technology systems, network infrastructure and operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Knowledgeable of industry standard A/V technologies, best practices, and service programs
  • Must be able to climb a ladder
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have full range of motion and dexterity
  • Must have a clean driving record and able to safely operate company vehicles
  • Must have a flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays and holidays
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally handle stressful situations
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Able to effectively plan ahead
  • Strong team player orientation
  • Strong customer focus
