Job Summary

The Community Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of activities, and special events.
The Community Manager will lead by example and display an energetic, friendly, and approachable demeanor at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
* Promotes employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall well-being by developing and executing unique employee events and experiences
* Oversees the amenity spaces in NJ and NY
* Ensures amenity spaces including furniture is consistently presentable. Report all maintenance faults/hazards and cleaning requests to the appropriate personnel. Escalate to General Manager if necessary.
* Oversees reservations within EMS Reservation System for all activities in the amenity spaces and in the Cooking School and is the point person for the host during meetings. Coordinates with audiovisual team for ad hoc AV support requests from meeting participants.
* Coordinates with Reception Services Manager to ensure seamless guest experience when needed
* Partners with key department leads to assist with the culinary programs in the Cooking School, Coffee bar, Wellness Bar and Mobile Pickup
* Responsible for the booking of all Cooking School events.
* Collaborates with Catering Managers/Directors on all events
* Identify and recommend opportunities and develop strategies to acquire internal and external clients through trade shows, community events, culture and social events and industry related meetings.
* Hands-on approach to manage all activities and oversees the execution of events
* Extensive knowledge of market trends, customers and competitor's strengths/weaknesses
* Knowledge of current events, cultural activities and industry trends
* Close collaboration with all stake holders within the Group Corporate Services community
* Ensure seamless communication flow with clients before, during and after the execution of their events.
* Manages and coordinate with Marketing/ Communications Management on the content of the digital displays.
* Tour and meet with prospective internal and external clients to showcase the spaces
* Exhibits superb organization skills and is able to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
* Manage activation events calendar, EventBrite listings, monthly newsletter and assist with creation and online dissemination of RA Cookbook
Additional Responsibilities:
Team Work and Communication
* Communicate effectively with management team, displaying accuracy and attention to detail both in verbal and written communication.
* Maintain a strong awareness of business activity and communicate to all parties: Guest Service Manager, Facility Services and Security team. Conference, Reception and Food Service teams, Facility Services and Security team
* Communicate to the General Manager and Conference Services Director about any new / ongoing / potential issues and complaints so that they are addressed accordingly. Follow this up promptly with a detailed email.
Personal Presentation and Responsibilities
* Project a professional, polite and considerate manner at all times.
* A passion for delivering exceptional levels of Guest service
* Adhere to grooming and presentation standards as per the dress code policy.
Policies and Procedures
* Adhere to the Company and the Firm's policies and procedures.
* Abide by all Security policies and procedures, including access restrictions, Fire and Life Safety information.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of corporate, conference center or hotels sales and/or events experience. Strong marketing background preferred
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings as needed. This is an in-person position, not a hybrid or remote role. Time will be divided between the NJ and NY offices.
* Effective negotiating skills managing outside vendors' relationships.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask.
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology / equipment. Knowledge of EMS is a plus
* Discreet, ethical and committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
* Punctual, dependable and dedicated to achieving excellence, down to the smallest of details.
* Experience in conducting post-implementation discussions with client management and other team members to determine satisfaction levels.
Education:
+ Four- year college degree preferred, specifically related to guest, facilities or Hospitality Services.
