Our Assistant Community Managers are the multi-talented representatives of Volunteer Properties. They exemplify our core values and are a key component in our motivation and drive to be the best in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Building positive relationships with prospective and current tenants
  • Overseeing the timely and successful completion of maintenance requests
  • Showing properties to prospective tenants and answering relevant questions
  • Overseeing all financial procedures including verifying renter income, processing monthly payments, and executing default protocols
  • Collect monthly rents and delinquent accounts, including tendering late notices and following the collection process as instructed by legal counsel
  • Prepare renewal offers, work with all parties to carry out renewal incentives, and fully execute the renewal process
  • Maintain resident files, post rent payments, upload tenant notices and correspondence
  • Assisting the Community Manager with all day-to-day operations to achieve occupancy, budget, and retention goals
  • Other special projects, as assigned


Job Requirements
Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across digital platforms
  • Exemplify excellent customer service skills for prospective and current tenants
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective time management, including prioritization of time sensitive items with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other digital platforms utilized by the Company


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of assistant property manager experience or minimally, 2-3 years leasing experience
  • Leasing experience
  • Experience with conflict management and de-escalating tenant situations
