OVERVIEW

The Senior Content Manager works collaboratively with departments to create engaging content that aligns with brand voice and accomplishes client marketing goals across earned, owned and paid channels. This includes producing and managing content for websites, social media, paid search, digital ads, emails and video. It requires an understanding of SEO best practices, knowledge of design and online publishing tools as well as the drive to research trends independently and bring fresh content ideas to clients. This position works with clients demanding high levels of strategy and ingenuity.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

• Leads content strategy for significant clients in the agriculture sector.
• Produces written content that aligns with marketing programs, including social media, web copy, blogs, emails and more to help ensure cohesive communications across channels.
• Works with creative team to deliver engaging visual content and developers to assess technical issues.
• Collaborates with PR teams to establish foundational messaging and connect story opportunities.
• Works with an integrated, cross-functional team on annual client planning.
• Researches trends to deliver fresh ideas to clients.
• Reviews data and analytics to optimize content performance.
• Uses various online tools to organize and publish content.
• Skilled at communication, organization and conflict management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field.
• Expertise in agriculture a major plus.
• 5+ years of experience working in content marketing, journalism or communications.
• Familiarity with content management tools, including WordPress, Kentico, Drupal and Semrush.
• Very strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to capture various brand voices.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Experience creating and editing videos appreciated.
• Comfortable writing in AP style.
