Other Conditions:
Fall, Spring and Summer Sessions. Part-time Lecturer applicant pool. Non-tenure, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. Evening, weekend, television, distance education (i.e. Lanai and Molokai) and off-campus (various high school campuses) may be assigned as part of regular workload.

Beginning Spring 2025

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Teach assigned courses in the discipline qualified for.
  2. Maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Prepare course syllabi, grading and reports related to teaching and student progress
  4. Work under supervision of Discipline Coordinator/Division Chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  5. May include instructional assignments involving distance education.
Minimum Qualifications:
As listed below. All minimum qualifications must be from an accredited institution and met by the effective date of appointment. If qualified applicants are not available, those not meeting the minimum qualifications may be considered on an exception basis.

Master's Degree in Fine Arts with the specialization in New Media Art or a related area of study (i.e. Design, Animation, Digital Art, Digital media, Multi-Media, Computer Graphics, Film, etc.) AND one (1) year related industry experience
OR
Any master's degree with coursework in New Media Art or a related area of study AND three (3) years related industry experience
OR
Any Bachelor's Degree with coursework in New Media Art or a related area of study AND five (5) years related industry experience
OR
Any Associate's Degree with coursework in New Media Art or a related area of study AND seven (7) years related industry experience

Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds
  2. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
  3. High level Animation experience with mastery of Movement Design and basic principles related to traditional Drawing and Animation.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  5. Ability to use writing assignments and integrate teaching of appropriate thinking skills in to course content as an integral part of student's classroom learning activities
